First post is 1 p.m. and the “human” race is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. We will be upstairs on the racing floor to show off the our greyt pets!

Zeke, aka “Meikle,” shared pictures from his first day at doggy day camp. He won a gold star for being a good citizen. Owner Leslie, who has adopted from MSGAO before, came into the kennel and asked, ” Who has been here the longest and needs a home?” Meikle was the lucky hound. We wish them greyt joy together!
The fur was flying at the Mid-South Greyhound Adoption Option annual Dog Wash on June 12. A record number of dogs — 52 in all — got their summer haircuts and enjoyed baths, nail trims and ear- and teeth-cleaning, reports Director Vicki Cohen. A record amount of money was raised: $4,200 in all.
Their human in attendance enjoyed camaraderie, tasty food and opportunities to win prizes. With the tents set up and massive fans, even the heat was bearable for the most part. The dogs got a special treat, as one of the pictures below shows!
